From my earliest position of working on a factory floor over 30 years ago to holding the most recent position of Director of Integration, I’m seasoned at every level in between. I’ve collaborated with other sectors of companies such as Finance, IT, HR, Supply Chain, and Finance primarily in the Agricultural industry in manufacturing, warehousing, retail, service and delivery.
My primary industry has consisted of companies with an Agricultural/Indistrial background, However, most industries have similarities and consistency that complement each other.
1. Leadership and Team Building
2. Strategic Planning
3. Supply Chain Management
4. Operations and Materials Management
5. Integration and Change Management
6. Certifications and Continuous Learning
7. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
8. Communication and Relationship Building
1. Reduction of Excess & Obsolete - The toughest task comes to mind first, which we be reduction of Excess and Obsolete inventory. This took more time and resources than first thought. Reduction of E&O entails the collaboration of all facets of he organization.
2. Reduction of overall inventory
3. Forecasting Inventory
4. The complete closing, opening, and consolidation of complete locations with retail and warehousing space.
5. Physical Inventory process and schedule of 24 Branch locations.
6. Successful alignment of Fleet Vehicles, Trailer and MHE from 24 locations to the financials, and created a Master Fleet list for executive use.
7. Additional projects upon request.
My education and experience are the fruits of Hands-on work, seminars & workshops, and self-learning. I hold a High School Degree, along with passing all exams for the CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) accreditation, Christian County LEAD Program – (Leadership Excellence Achieved by Design) along with passing the LinkedIn Skill Assessments Mention your educational qualifications, degrees, and any relevant certifications. My skills are mostly hands-on, self-learning, leaning on mentors, watching, listening reading and grit. See the books I’ve read on the “Books” page. Continued education and learning is very important to me professionally and personally. We never stop learning
My professional philosophy or approach can be broken out into several directions all coming together for a result of success.
1. I have a commitment to excellence with a continuous growth and learning mindset. I find common-sense solutions to complex problems.
2. I always strive to build relationships, team building, and collaboration between all departments. I strongly believe that Relationships are the key to success.
3. Balancing Multiple Initiatives. I enjoy being involved in multiple initiatives.
4. I am Results-Driven and Performance-Oriented. KPI’s can be your best friend and “Go To” place for information.
5. I have Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
6. Customer Focus and Satisfaction. Who are our customers? Our customers are everyone we come in contact with, including co-workers.
7. Adaptability and Flexibility are key to any position or business. Our world is continuously changing, and so should we.
I receive numerous professional publications, stay in contact with others in the industry, and read books and news.
My proven leadership in diverse roles along with 30+ years of industry experience means that I have multiple aptitudes not afforded to other candidates. I’ve been a Supply Chain SME, a branch manager, a warehouse manager, a Director of Materials and a Director of Integration. My multi-functional expertise has prepared me to work with all facets of the company.
References and/or testimonials upon request.
I’ve led teams from one individual to hundreds of individuals through the chain in the different roles I’ve had. I can work alone, or build teams alike. Working collaboratively with others is essential to the success of a tea, and a company. Building relationships and teamwork are central to my leadership.
1. Challenges are just as said, a “challenge”. We need to identify, dissect, and understand the challenge to get through it.
2. Setbacks are going to occur, maybe with the challenges, and problems. As with a challenge, a setback needs to be analyzed, dissected, and understood to get back on track.
3. Problems are a special one to me. I had a leader/mentor once tell me that ”There’s a solution to every problem”, and I believe that. Problems are going to exist. It’s how we deal with them that can determine the success or failure of a problem.
I plan to continue my career with a growing company that needs change to achieve the next level of business. I desire a company that I can make a difference in, and help grow. A Private Equity company in its initial ground floor acquisition phase would be the ideal situation. Let me help you grow!
To me, change is a necessity in many situations. Communicating, Implementing and Executing the change are the challenging issues. Change is a must sometimes.
